These terms govern your use of the Khata Simple mobile application and related services, published by Acconix Consultancy Services, Ajra, Maharashtra, India. By using the app you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
Khata Simple is bookkeeping software. It records what you enter and arranges it in a GST-shaped form.
It is not tax advice, legal advice, or a substitute for a qualified professional. It does not file returns on your behalf, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) or any government body.
You remain responsible for the accuracy of your records and for your own statutory compliance. Please have your accountant review anything you intend to file.
The contents of your books remain yours. We claim no ownership over them and use them only to provide the service described in our privacy policy.
Because your data is encrypted with a key we cannot bypass, we cannot recover your books if you lose access to your account and your device. Take backups. This is a deliberate design choice in favour of your confidentiality, and its cost is that recovery is your responsibility.
Where you record the personal data of your customers and suppliers, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so.
Do not use Khata Simple to record or facilitate unlawful activity, to attempt to access another user's data, to reverse-engineer or interfere with the service, or to place load on it that degrades it for others.
The app works offline by design, so the core of it keeps functioning if our servers do not. Sync and account services are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis without a guaranteed uptime. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of a material change where we can.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Acconix Consultancy Services is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You may stop using the app and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. On closure, clause 4 and our privacy policy govern what happens to your data.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kolhapur, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
We may update these terms. The effective date above will change, and material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect.
